Nutanix announced a strategic collaboration with Dell Technologies to accelerate digital transformation for customers by modernizing infrastructure and developing modern applications. This partnership will enable joint customers to leverage Dell and Nutanix's hybrid multi-cloud solutions, improving IT operations, fault tolerance and flexibility.
The collaboration promises to simplify the deployment of private and hybrid multi-cloud solutions by combining Dell's high-end server and storage solutions with the simplicity and efficiency of Nutanix software. This integration will simplify work and increase the flexibility of the enterprise.
Integrated hyperconverged device
As part of the deal, Dell will offer an integrated turnkey hyperconverged appliance that will combine the Nutanix cloud platform with Dell servers. This solution will be available in a wide range of Dell PowerEdge R750 and R760 server models and configurations to meet different application requirements.
Recognizing the critical need for flexibility and ecosystem choice, the Nutanix Cloud Platform for Dell PowerFlex integrates the Nutanix cloud platform based on the AHV hypervisor for compute and Dell PowerFlex for storage. This integration will allow enterprise customers to independently scale computing power and storage, seamlessly extending Dell's scalable storage capabilities to Nutanix software.
More cooperation
Nutanix and Dell will also collaborate on development, go-to-market strategies, support and services. This comprehensive collaboration will expand Dell customers' access to the Nutanix cloud platform and will be supported by Dell sales and partners worldwide.
