See how RTX 6000 Ada outperforms its predecessor, the A 6000.
Dell PowerEdge R760xa servers have the ability to install NVIDIA RTX 6000 and RTX 6000 Ada graphics accelerators, these graphics accelerators have several key differences in performance, architecture and characteristics.
The main differences between RTX 6000 and RTX 6000 Ada:
Architecture:
- NVIDIA RTX 6000: based on the Turing architecture.
- NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada: Based on the Ada Lovelace architecture.
- RTX 6000: Includes 4,608 CUDA cores, 576 Tensor cores, and 72 RT cores.
- RTX 6000 Ada: Includes 18,176 CUDA cores, 568 Tensor cores, and 142 RT cores, providing significantly higher performance in computing tasks related to artificial intelligence, rendering, and ray tracing. NVIDIA RTX 6000 and RTX 6000 Ada graphics cards belong to different generations and have several key differences in performance, architecture and characteristics.
- RTX 6000: Made according to the 12-nm process.
- RTX 6000 Ada: Built on a 4nm process that improves energy efficiency and allows for more transistors on the chip.
Volume and type of memory:
- RTX 6000: Equipped with 24 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 384-bit bus.
- RTX 6000 Ada: Equipped with 48 GB of GDDR6 memory with ECC (Error Correction Code) and a 384-bit bus, which doubles the amount of memory compared to the previous model.
